mANImal

Sir Richard O ’Hare-ington famous playwright was a very old an loyal friend of mine
he sadly died two years ago, he was attacked by a group of foxes in North west London before he past away i was given the chance to draw him.
Over the last few years I've been locating my old manimal friends and have asked for their permission to draw their portraits in a style that pays homage to my favourite illustrators and one day exhibit them in a gallery.
As the name of their race suggests manimals are half man half animal, I promised to keep certain details about their origins secret, but I will say one thing regarding this matter the wind in the willows and many of the so called fictional works of Beatrix Potter aren't as fictional as the media will lead you to believe.

Chris Riddell

Beatrix Potter

John Tenniel

Step one an exhibition. For the last 500 or so years I have been developing an interest in fairy tales and fables they remind me so much of home, I am very fond of the literary works of Lewis Carroll Jacob Karl Grimm,Wilhelm Karl Grimm, Kenneth Grahame and Ted Hughes I am particularly fond of the illustrative works of the people that help bring these authors works to life, illustrators like John Tenniel and Chris Riddell.
